Wittman Battenfeld Showcases its “Pathway to 4.0” at NPE 2018 in Orlando
Wittmann Battenfeld, a leading global injection molding machinery manufacturer, showcased a comprehensive set of injection molding machines for the plastics industry in Orlando.
Wittman Battenfeld presented 6 injection molding machines with integrated robots, automation, material handling and auxiliary equipment, all of them with Wittman 4.0 incorporated.
Additonal areas at the Wittmann-Battenfeld W3742 booth were also dedicated to other specific products provided by the company, totalizing 16 display stations.
At NPE 2018, Wittman-Battenfeld exhibited several new launches, all of them integrated to the Wittmann 4.0 platform
• the new high-speed EcoPower Xpress injection molding machine,
• the new X Series robot,
• a TCU featuring the new SpeedDrive technology,
• a new S-MAX screenless granulator line,
• the R9 robot control system
• the new Aton H Portable dryer.
The NEW EcoPower Xpress 400
Among the machinery presented by Wittman-Battenfled, the EcoPower Xpress 400 was definitely highlighted for its remarkable performance.
The EcoPower Xpress 400, is a 400 ton direct drive clamping force machine, electric high-speed injection with a 15.000 mm/s2 max. acceleration.
At NPE 2018 the machine was running a high speed packaging process with a 2.6 seconds cycle time, producing a polyethylene water bottle cap with a 96 cavity mold. The EcoPower Xpress 400 was also featuring a WITTMANN 4.0 option device.
Visitors to the Wittmann Battenfeld’s booth had the opportunity to experience Wittmann 4.0 LIVE at a real operating cell. Also in the booth was the “Wittmann 4.0 Wall,” a visual control display that highlights the ease of communication between all of the Wittmann 4.0 capable auxiliaries, including MES monitoring, as well as a cell that includes a “Plug & Produce” demo.
