Eastman to Present Sustainable Solutions at FEIPLASTIC 2019 in Sao Paulo

Eastman, a global specialty materials company that produces a broad range of chemical and plastic products, showcased its broad range solutions portfolio at FEIPLASTIC 2019 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, April 22-26.

Eastman exhibition at FEIPLASTIC was highly focused on sustainable solutions for cosmetic industry applications.

The set of products showcased at FEIPLASTEC included,

Eastman Cristal™ EV600 copolyester

The newest member of The Glass Polymer™ family of cosmetic materials, Cristal EV600 is a high-flow polymer with the polish and feel of glass. It achieves a deep and colorless transparency with superior luminosity, which results in a luxurious sparkling effect. Cristal EV600 is the new standard for cosmetics packaging, especially for medium- to thick-walled applications.

Eastman Trēva™ engineering bioplastic

Making its debut at Feiplastic 2019, Trēva is already helping global brands meet consumer-driven performance and sustainability goals. The first engineering bioplastic, Trēva is more than 40% cellulose, sourced from sustainably managed forests and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). It is BPA-free and phthalate-free and has excellent flow rates, durability and dimensional stability.

Eastman Embrace™ family of resins

With up to 70% of purchase decisions are made at the point of sale, brands are turning to shrink sleeve labels made with Embrace resins to create 360° billboards on their products. Embrace sleeve labels combine the impact of vivid color, dramatic shapes and crisp messaging with up to 50% more printable space than pressure sensitive labels.

Eastman Tritan™ copolyester

Introduced to the world 10 years ago—and again at Feiplastic 2017 — Tritan is Eastman’s most recognized specialty plastic. Tritan is made without BPA, BPS or ortho-phthalates. Glasslike clarity and outstanding durability make Tritan a global favorite for food contact applications, electronic housings and cosmetic packaging. New applications at the booth show how Tritan continues to transform the industry.

Eastman VersaMax™ Plus plasticizer

VersaMax Plus makes its debut in the Brazilian market, including manufacturing at the nearby Maua plant in São Paulo. VersaMax Plus is a non-phthalate, general purpose solution that provides better efficiency, improved dry times and lower fusion temperatures when compared to DINP and DEHT. By providing comparable mechanical properties and improved processing parameters, VersaMax Plus is the ideal replacement for DINP and DEHP in dry-blend and plastisol applications.
